1. About CaptainXI

CaptainXI (captainxi.com) is a software platform that provides cricket tournament management tools — including live player auctions, team registration, bidding software, and related features — to cricket organisers across India. We are a technology service provider, not a tournament organiser ourselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use CaptainXI, create an organiser account, or make a payment. By using the platform you confirm you meet this requirement. Tournament participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian register on their behalf.

3. Organiser Responsibilities

If you use CaptainXI to run a tournament, you agree to:

• Provide accurate tournament information to all registered participants
• Collect registration fees responsibly and honour commitments made to players and captains
• Run the auction fairly and in accordance with the rules communicated to participants
• Not use the platform for fraudulent, misleading, or illegal activities
• Take responsibility for disputes between participants in your tournament — CaptainXI is a software tool, not a mediator
• Ensure participants are informed about the use of their data

4. Player and Captain Registration

When registering for a tournament:

• You agree to provide accurate personal information including your name and mobile number
• You understand that your name, photo, and cricket role will be visible to the organiser, other captains, and tournament viewers
• You acknowledge that registration fees are collected by the organiser through our platform and are subject to their refund policy
• You are responsible for the accuracy of jersey details (name, number, size) you provide

5. Payments and Refunds

All payments on CaptainXI are processed securely by Razorpay. By making a payment you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.

• Registration fees are set by the tournament organiser. Once paid, refunds are at the organiser's discretion unless the tournament is cancelled.
• Platform fees (subscription plans) are non-refundable once the subscription period has begun, except where required by applicable law.
• CaptainXI is not liable for disputes between players and organisers regarding payment of fees or prize money.
• In the event of a technical failure during payment, contact us at captain@captainxi.com with your payment ID for resolution.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CaptainXI to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the platform
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the bidding system
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the platform
• Violate any applicable Indian law including the Information Technology Act 2000

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension of your account without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, branding, and content on CaptainXI is owned by or licensed to CaptainXI. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without prior written permission. Tournament data (player names, scores, results) belongs to the organiser who created the tournament.

8. Subscription Plans

CaptainXI offers free and paid subscription tiers (Gully, Club, District, National). Paid plans are billed per auction or annually as selected. Features available at each tier are listed on the pricing page and may be updated with reasonable notice. Downgrading a plan does not entitle you to a refund for unused time on a higher plan.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

CaptainXI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available 100% of the time, free of errors, or that real-time features (live bidding, OTP delivery) will function without interruption due to internet connectivity or third-party service issues.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptainXI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, auction disruption, or failed SMS delivery. Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to CaptainXI in the preceding 12 months.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage users to resolve disputes amicably by contacting us first.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of CaptainXI after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
